This year, we are introducing a new space in recognition and support for the artistic talents of our community: The Art Show!

IWAG Art Show is a dedicated space to celebrate the creativity of our community. Here, artists, creators, and other imaginative individuals can showcase their anthropomorphic themed works, such as paintings, sculptures, photography, or other original pieces. Some of these works will be available for purchase, through silent auctions, giving attendees the chance to take home a piece of the fandom.

The items, creation of theirs, are then available to you, attendees of IWAG, to view, admire at, and some will be available to take home, via direct buy offer, or an auction. It is a place to not just showcase art or photographs or a nice sculpture, but also to show you what our creative fandom has to offer.

Enjoying the Art Show

Art Show is open to all attendees holding a valid convention badge. You then will be able to browse the gallery, admire the creativity of our community, and view unique anthropomorphic themed works. Items on display are not to be touched or handled directly, but you’re welcome to view, appreciate, and learn about them. Some pieces may be available for you to bid on, and once you have won those items, you are free to handle and bring them home.

Getting Your Desired Piece

Attendees who visit the Art Show can:

View and appreciate artwork during viewing hours.
Bid on auction pieces during bidding hours at the Art Show. In order to bid, you must write your badge number, contact information, and sign an Agreement to our Art Show staff members.
Pay and pick up the pieces you have won during pickup hours.
Viewing, bidding and pickup hours will be defined in the convention schedule, found on the website closer to the convention weekend, and our conbook.
The first 3 pieces to have their bid sheets filled in the silent auction will be sent to a live auction during the closing ceremony.
Attendees who bid will be recorded by their Event Pass number.
IWAG will notify you when your bid wins, however it is your responsibility to stay updated.

Showcasing and Selling at the Art Show

Creators who are IWAG attendees can submit their works for exhibition, or have someone else submit artwork on their behalf. Submissions are reviewed by curators to ensure they meet quality, originality, and content guidelines.

These items must have been created by you, part of a collaboration that includes you, or you are representing someone who wants their item shown in the Art Show at their behalf/as a proxy. You cannot commission artworks to feature in the Art Show. The items submitted can be but not limited to paintings, printed photograph, printed digital art, sculpture, etc.

Creators can apply a display-only slot, or elect to take part in the Auction. You’ll be able to define this at the Art Show registration form. All approved pieces will be displayed, and we’ll mark which ones are available to bid, or which ones are display-only.

Creators who submit their artwork to the Art Show and elect to participate as an auction item shall be charged a service fee once their item is sold. This goes to the IWAG team to help print digital art, arrange items, and handle your creation during the event.

Items that go unsold, or are registered as display pieces, would not be subject to any fees, and will be returned to the submitter at the end of the convention.

Item Specifications

Traditional artwork must not exceed 50cm on its longest side. Sculptures, plushies, fursuit heads, and other physical exhibits should not be bigger than 50cm x 50cm x 50cm in dimension. Digital artwork will be printed by the IWAG team up to a size of 50cm on its longest side, and framed accordingly. We reserve the right to refuse exhibiting artpieces bigger than these specifications.

Art Show Auction

Phase 1: Silent Auction

Interested attendees can make their way to the Art Show during bidding hours. Your Pass Number shall be verified and preferred contact number taken by the team before you can head on in. You’ll find bid sheets next to each artwork up for auction.

If you want to get a piece that is marked for auction, place your event pass number and your bid amount on the sheet.

The default minimum bid increment is IDR 20,000 and its multiples. Bid increments will be shown on each entry. Please increment accordingly.

The first 3 pieces to get all bid sheet slots filled will go to live auction during the closing ceremony!

Other pieces will remain in the silent auction. If nobody else placed a higher bid, you will be contacted to honor your bid and retrieve your artwork during the Pickup hours at the end of Day 2.

If you have won, please honor your bids out of respect for the creators of the artpiece! We reserve the right to monitor bids that are not honored and can take stringent action for those who fail to pay or intentionally dishonor their bids, including unappealable bans.

Phase 2: Live Auction

The live auction is exciting! Attendees in the main stage then can bid on the works directly (Hence, live). The bids work by shouting your offer, once the auctioneer shouts back your bid, your bids are final, and once placed it will be regarded as valid, so be mindful. See if you can honor your bid and purchase said item.

The winning bid will then be asked to make the payment right after bidding.

Increments are at least IDR 50,000 and its multiples for the live auction. Please honor your bids, it would not be nice to everyone observing the live auction if you do not do so. IWAG reserve the right to monitor bids that are not honored.

Phase 3: Art Pickup and Payment

Once it is sold, you will receive instruction from our team on how to collect your purchased items. Items will be handed to you as is, and any dispute will be you and the creators.

Please note that pick-up and payment will be in the afternoon hours of Day 2. Please plan accordingly.

Unsold item or display only item will be picked up back by the creators that submit their works, or their proxy.

Phase 4: Creator Payout

IWAG handles all payments for successful auction bids.

IWAG levies a 13% service and handling fee for items that are successfully bid and paid out during the Art Show. This goes to the IWAG team to help print digital art, arrange items, and handle your creation during the event.

Items that go unsold, or are registered as a display pieces, would not be subject to any fees, and will be returned to the submitter at the end of the convention.

IWAG will process the payout within a maximum of 5 working days. Exchange rates and remittance fees apply for non-Indonesian artists. You can read more about our fees on our Terms and Conditions.

Art Show Terms and Conditions

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

Submitting Party / Seller: an IWAG attendee who submits artwork to the Art Show, or their authorized proxy.
Proxy: an individual authorized in writing by the Seller to act on their behalf in relation to the Art Show.
Attendee / Bidder: any IWAG attendee holding a valid convention badge.
Buyer: an attendee whose bid has been confirmed as the winning bid on an item.
Curator: an IWAG team member responsible for reviewing and approving submitted works.
IWAG: the organizing team of the Indonesian Weekend Anthro Gathering

General Terms

The IWAG Art Show is a dedicated exhibition space offered to attending creators (or their authorized proxies) to showcase their artwork. All displayed artwork is subject to curation by IWAG.

The Art Show serves as an exhibition space, a showcase, and a venue for the sale of items through auctioning.

IWAG will publish a schedule detailing submission windows, drop-off periods, viewing hours, bidding hours, pickup times, and payout timelines.

IWAG does not guarantee that all submitted works will be approved for exhibition. Submissions are reviewed by curators to ensure they meet quality, originality, and content guidelines.

IWAG offers no guarantee that items marked for sale will be sold, though IWAG may provide some promotional support for displayed pieces.

All sale prices in the Art Show are tax-inclusive. The 13% service and handling fee charged by IWAG is applied to the final sale price. Sellers are solely responsible for any personal tax obligations arising from their sales.

For concerns relating to the Art Show process (such as bid recording, staff conduct, or procedural matters) attendees and submitting parties may direct their enquiries to operations@furries.id. IWAG will review process-related concerns at its discretion. This does not constitute a formal appeals process, and IWAG’s decisions on process matters are final. IWAG assumes no involvement in disputes between buyers and sellers arising after the conclusion of a sale.

Cancelation or Disruption

In the event that IWAG or the Art Show is cancelled or significantly disrupted, IWAG will make reasonable efforts to return all submitted items to their respective submitting parties. IWAG will cover delivery costs for the return of items, but assumes no further financial liability beyond this.

As an alternative, submitting parties may request that their item be held by IWAG for inclusion in the next Art Show. This request must be communicated to IWAG within a timeframe announced through relevant communication channels.

IWAG is not liable for any loss, damage, or financial consequence arising from cancellation or disruption of the event.

Item Submission

Content Guidelines

All items displayed at the Art Show must be rated PG-13 or below.
Art of the IWAG Mascots (Kiki and Tama) and all assets that refer to the IWAG brand are not allowed for Art Show entries that are submitted for auction. These assets are not to be used commercially, as explained by our Brand Guideline. You may only submit pieces with these assets for exhibition/display only.
Any artwork, print, or object submitted for sale or display must have been created by the submitting party, as part of a collaboration that includes them, or submitted with the explicit permission of the original creator. You may not commission artwork and submit it to the Art Show.
Submitting parties must have permission from the original artist to sell or display their work. If submitting on behalf of another creator, the submitting party must be able to provide proof of authorization upon request. This can be in the form of an email that provides verifiable and traceable proof of identity and ownership.
Derivative works based on existing intellectual properties must not bear clear identification or direct correlation to the original IP holders.
Items must not be generated using AI tools.
Please review our policies on Terms of Creative Work, our Code of Conduct, and Anti-Harassment Policy. There are limitations on what can be displayed or sold, and these must be followed.

Eligible Items

Submitted items must follow the Content Guidelines above. Items may be submitted as paintings, printed photographs, printed digital art, sculptures, and similar original works, but are not limited to these formats.

Items may be rejected at the curators’ discretion if they:

Violate the Content Guidelines or IWAG’s Code of Conduct
Are generated using AI tools
Infringe on established intellectual properties
Fail to meet a minimum standard of quality or artistic merit
Cannot physically exist at the Art Show (e.g., a photograph submitted in an attempt to sell the physical object it depicts)
Have no clear established ownership by the submitting party
Cannot be displayed within the physical constraints of the Art Show space

Only approved items will be accepted at drop-off.

Submitting Party

The submitting party must be an IWAG attendee holding a valid event pass, which must have been redeemed into a convention badge prior to drop-off.

Items may only be submitted by the owner of the artwork or an authorized proxy. Submitting parties must send an authorization email from the submitting party’s registered email address, that provides verifiable and traceable proof of identity and ownership. Emails may be sent to operations@furries.id.

IWAG will not mediate disputes between a submitting party and their proxy. Both parties are treated as one and the same for the purposes of IWAG’s obligations.

Drop Off and Registration

Approved items delivered to IWAG must be registered by signing the submission sheet. Signing the sheet constitutes final consent by the submitting party for IWAG to act as exhibitor and/or broker of sales during the convention weekend.

Submitting parties may not withdraw their item once it has been delivered to IWAG for display.

Item Specifications

Traditional artwork must not exceed 50cm on its longest side.
Sculptures, plushies, fursuit heads, and other three-dimensional works must not exceed 50cm x 50cm x 50cm.
Digital artwork will be printed by the IWAG team at up to 50cm on its longest side, and framed accordingly.

IWAG reserves the right to refuse items exceeding these specifications.

Digital Art and Print Quality

Submitting parties are encouraged to arrange their own printing for digital artworks where possible, in order to ensure their work is presented as intended.

Where IWAG handles printing on the submitting party’s behalf, the submitting party will be given the opportunity to inspect the printed piece prior to the Art Show opening. If the submitting party is not satisfied with the print quality, they may elect to withdraw the piece from display. IWAG will not arrange a reprint, and the piece will be returned to the submitting party.

IWAG assumes no liability for colour accuracy or print quality variations arising from the printing process.

Display and Logistics

Art Show staff are responsible for hanging and arranging all art pieces.

IWAG team members reserve the right to move, redisplay, or take down items at any time.

Items placed on display may not be removed until the Art Show has concluded.

For unframed artwork, submitting parties are recommended to use transparent sleeves to protect pieces and make them easier for buyers to carry.

Table space is available for art that cannot be hung. Hooks and clamps will be provided for hanging artwork. If you require soft clamps or alternative hanging methods, please bring your own. Clipframes are not recommended for peg walls and should be displayed on tables only.

If you wish to provide packaging materials for buyers, storage space will be available. Please register any packaging materials with Art Show staff at the time of drop-off.

IWAG reserves the right to document and photograph all items displayed in the Art Show, and to restrict or permit other parties to do so. The submitting party does not hold this right during the Art Show.

Items are displayed at the submitting party’s risk. IWAG will take reasonable care to safeguard all displayed works but is not liable for any damage or loss.

Seller Obligations and Financials

Auction Participation

Submitting parties may elect to have their item listed for auction or registered as display-only. This preference must be indicated on the Art Show registration form. All approved pieces will be displayed and auction-eligible pieces will be clearly marked.

The submitting party may set any minimum bid amount. IWAG is not responsible for any outcome resulting from this decision.

The submitting party may not place bids on their own item, conspire with others to place bids on their item, or encourage others to engage in unfair practices against other submitters. Any submitting party found to be involved in or aware of such conduct will have their item removed from auction immediately. IWAG reserves the right to impose further penalties in accordance with its Code of Conduct.

Service Fee

IWAG levies a 13% service and handling fee on items that are successfully sold through the Art Show. This fee covers printing costs for digital artworks, item arrangement, and handling throughout the event.

Items that go unsold, or are registered as display-only, are not subject to any fee.

Payout

IWAG will process payouts within a maximum of 5 working days following the event. Exchange rates and remittance fees apply for non-Indonesian artists. Full details are available in IWAG’s Terms and Conditions.

IWAG will hold unclaimed payouts for a period of 40 days following the conclusion of the event. Submitting parties are responsible for ensuring their payout details are valid and accessible within this window. After 40 days, IWAG cannot guarantee the continued availability of unclaimed funds. Any claim made after this period is subject to IWAG’s sole discretion.

In the event a submitting party does not provide a valid payout method, the payout will be held in accordance with the above policy.

Payouts may be issued to a proxy should the need arise. The proxy must hold a valid IWAG event pass and present appropriate authorization as described under Proxy Authorization above.

Unsold and Display-Only Items

Items that go unsold, or are registered as display-only, must be collected by the submitting party at the conclusion of the Art Show at no cost. IWAG will communicate collection instructions through relevant channels. IWAG assumes no responsibility that the submitting party is aware of said communications.

The submitting party may arrange alternative collection methods with IWAG, at the submitting party’s expense.

If an item is declared forfeit, IWAG may add the item to its inventory for use at its discretion, including but not limited to repurposing, donating, or resale.

General Attendees and Viewing

Any IWAG attendee holding a valid convention badge may enter the Art Show gallery during public viewing hours and participate in the live auction event.

Attendees must remain within any marked floor boundaries and may not touch or handle any items on display. Attendees who cause damage to displayed works may be held responsible for compensation at the artist’s request.

Attendees may take photographs and videos of displayed artwork.

Staff may require attendees and fursuiters to queue before entering the room, subject to available capacity.

Staff are authorized to escort attendees from the premises for disorderly conduct.

Auction Terms

Participation Requirements

Attendees who wish to participate in the auction must provide their badge number and preferred contact information (Discord, Telegram, phone number, or email) to Art Show staff, and sign a copy of these Terms and Conditions and the Art Show Agreement before placing any bids.

Bidding Rules

Attendees may place bids on auctioned items during designated bidding hours.

The minimum bid increment is IDR 20,000 (twenty thousand rupiah) and multiples thereof for the silent auction, and IDR 50,000 (fifty thousand rupiah) and multiples thereof for the live auction. Bids not placed in valid multiples of these amounts will be voided.

Attendees may not handle bid slips directly. Please contact on-site staff to place bids.

No bids may be placed on behalf of another person.

Attendees may not collude with others to unfairly influence bids on any item.

Placing a bid constitutes a commitment to purchase the item if the bid is successful. A confirmed winning bidder is referred to as a Buyer.

Any bidder found to be conspiring to manipulate the auction process will be immediately disqualified from further bidding and be escorted away for the remainder of the Art Show.

Silent Auction

Bid sheets will be placed beside each auction item. To place a bid, you need to use a bid slip, you can request a slip sticker set from the staff. Write your bid amount and badge number on the slip, and place it on the sheet of the desired item.

The 3 items with the highest number of bids, or the first 3 items to have all bid slip slots filled during the silent auction will be sent to the live auction during the closing ceremony. Artists of the selected pieces may request to opt out of the live auction. IWAG may pick more or less live auction items on the team’s discretion.

IWAG staff reserve the right to retract any bids on any piece.

Buyers may request corrections to their bids. IWAG staff reserve the right to reject such requests.

Live Auction

Auction terms will be announced before the start of the live auction. All attendees are expected to pay attention to the information provided, and to conduct themselves respectfully toward the host and other attendees.

Attendees in the main stage area may bid directly by calling out their offer. Once the auctioneer confirms a bid, it is considered final. All bids placed during the live auction are assumed to be correct. No corrections may be issued.

The winning buyer is expected to make payment immediately upon the close of the auction.

Final Bids and Grace Period

The silent auction bidding window closes 60 minutes before the Art Show closes on Day 1. No bids may be placed after this cutoff. It is the bidder’s responsibility to monitor and manage their bids before the window closes. IWAG assumes no responsibility for bids that are outbid prior to closure. IWAG may change any timing outlined closer to the event date, with announcement on a relevant, publicly accessible communication channel.

Items that received no bids during the silent auction will be returned to the submitting party at the closure of the Art Show.

If an item with bids remains unpaid after the highest bidder and the next highest bidder have both been given the opportunity to honor their bid, the item will be considered unsold and returned to the submitting party. As compensation, the submitting party will be granted a guaranteed submission slot at the following year’s IWAG Art Show.

Winning, Payment and Penalties

When the auction concludes, IWAG will notify winning attendees through relevant communication channels. It is the buyer’s responsibility to stay updated. IWAG assumes no responsibility that the attendee is aware of said notifications.

IWAG will contact the winning attendees and include information of how payment can be made, and the payment deadline the winning attendee must honor. The payment deadline will be within the second day of the convention itself.

If the winning attendee cannot be reached, the next highest bid will be contacted. Timing for honoring bids will be announced through relevant channels.

Buyers who do not honor their purchase, intentionally ignore notifications, or fail to complete payment may be subject to the following penalties at IWAG’s discretion:

An unappealable ban from future IWAG events, or events managed by the IWAG Organization, until payment is fulfilled.
The item will not be held or reimbursed for buyers who have failed to honor payment.

If the winning bid fails to honor their purchase, the sale will be annulled and the next highest bid will be given the opportunity to act upon their bid.

Item Pick-Up

Pickup and payment will take place during the afternoon hours of Day 2. Please plan accordingly.

Once an item is sold, IWAG will provide instructions to the buyer on how to collect their purchased item. Items are handed to the buyer as-is. IWAG will seek no further involvement in negotiations or disputes pertaining to the item following the conclusion of the sale.

Unsold items and display-only items will be collected by the submitting party or their proxy following the close of the Art Show.

IWAG 2026 Conbook Applications

Every year, IWAG puts a conbook in your paws. It has everything you need to make the most of the event, plus pages dedicated entirely to showcasing the community’s creativity. This year is no different - we want your art in it.

What do I need to submit this year?

Artist Criteria: You don’t have to be an attendee to submit.
Theme & Content: Capture your take on Electric Dreams. All artwork must be family-friendly and suitable for all ages. Ask yourself if your parents could see this comfortably.
File Format: JPG or PNG only.
Dimensions & Ratio: We recommend a 5:7 or 7:10 ratio (portrait or landscape), sized at 17 by 25 cm with a bleed of at least 3mm (5mm is safer). This fits our B-size paper format. In pixels, aim for around 2079 × 2953 px at minimum. Not sure about bleed? Check the guide image below.
Resolution: 300 DPI minimum.
File Naming: Name your file with your name. If you’re an attendee, include your badge number. Example: Kiki_999.png
Different ratio: If you’re submitting artwork in a ratio other than recommended, use a transparent background.
No AI-Generated Artwork: Any AI-generated submission will be disqualified.

Disclaimer

We’ll review all submissions to make sure they translate well into the physical printed format of the conbook. While not every piece may make it into the book itself, we’ll do our best to feature all submissions on our website. By submitting, you grant the IWAG team the right to modify and use your artwork within IWAG media and documentation (including but not limited to the conbook).

Got a hidden talent or a performance that’ll light up the room? This is your moment to shine! We’re excited to invite you to the IWAG 2026 Talent Show. Whether you’re going solo or bringing your whole pack, we can’t wait to see what you’ve got.

What do I need to apply this year?

Before submitting, please prepare the following:

Your IWAG 2026 Event Pass number, if you have one.
A picture of you/your fursona. We’ll be using these in out con-book and promotional materials, so make sure you pick a good one
A demo or past performance of your act. This could be a past performance video, an audio demo reel, or sets of pictures. It should show what you’ll actually perform. This demo is the main aspect we’ll use to evaluate your application, so give us your best demo!
Any supporting media (audio/video, etc.) that will be played during your act. This must be submitted with your application. We will use the files submitted in this application for your performance. Updates, modifications, or revisions after submission will NOT be accepted.
Our Events Team will carefully review all demos, so put your best paw forward! We will prioritize applications with the most unique, entertaining appeal. The harder it is to do what you’ll do, the higher the chances are you’d be selected to perform!
Don’t have an Event Pass yet? Accepted Talent Show entries would be able to access further Event Passes, even if registrations are closed or full.

What are the guidelines for Talent Show entrants?

Solo or group acts welcome — bring your whole pack if you’d like!
Everyone in your act must submit their badge numbers. If they don’t have one yet, set it to 0.
Demo or past performance videos should be 3–8 minutes long.
Your performance at IWAG 2026 can be up to 10 minutes maximum, so plan accordingly!
List any extra things you’ll need in Additional Notes if needed.
All performances must be appropriate for Ages 14 and above.
Content on our Talent Show must adhere to our Code of Conduct and Policies.
IWAG Staff reserves the right to cancel a performance unilaterally if we believe it breaches the content rating and Code of Conduct.
Performances can be delivered in any language.

DJ Applications for IWAG 2026 are now open! Let your basslines surge and shatter the city grid. The night belongs to you. The only question is… do you have the guts to rule the stage?

To apply, you need to file the following

Have a sample set, mix, or previous performance ready. Show us what you’ve got and let us know how you’ll bring the energy to the stage! Whether it’s samples, portfolios, or highlights from past performances, the more details you share, the stronger your application will be. Let your talent shine.
Upload a sample set/mix. Your set should be around 30 - 60 minutes (your submission will be invalid if the length is below 30 mins, and we will stop listening from anything after 60 mins). We recommend that your file should be in mp3 (VBR -V0 ~245 kbps or CBR-320kbps is fine) for smaller file size, but WAV is fine too!

Our Dealers Application for IWAG 2026 is now open! Got cool stuff to sell or want to do commissions at the con? We’d love to have you join us! Dealers only need to have a valid event pass that they can attain after their Dealer application is approved. The table itself is free!

We are open for the following applications, in order of preference:

Selling of physical or digital artistic goods and merchandise. This applies if you have items that you want to sell to the furry population.
Representation from other conventions/communities/events. If you have your own community, a representative from another con org and community event, you can apply for a table to represent yourselves.
Arts and Crafts display pieces (with no exchange of money for purchase of goods or services). This applies if you only want to expose what you have made but not make any sales.

Please note that we currently cannot allow sales of food and beverages during the convention at the Dealers Den. Sharing of dry snacks and candy is allowed but must not be sold for monetary value.

As an IWAG Dealer, you will get…

A standard 180cm x 45cm desk (Standard IBM Table) to display your masterpieces.
Two chairs for you and a buddy.
Shared equipment and supplies in the Dealers’ Den. This includes but is not limited to: Scissors, cutters, masking tapes, sharpies, blu-tak, and pens.
A 4m² (2x2m) space per table slot.

IWAG is a community event created by furries and for furries. We are looking for talented volunteers to join our team so we can create a magical moment together.

By volunteering, not only will you learn new skills, meet new people, and contribute to your community, you can also get a guaranteed event pass, discounts for next year’s registration, and many other benefits!

We have numerous open positions available that can suit your interest or skill. We are welcoming anyone who wants to help us make a great convention for everyone.

We have positions open in our Security, Runner, Photography, Videography, Registration, Medical, and AV teams.

Most of these do not need any prior experience, but we’d love to hear what you’ve done before that would help you become indispensable for our convention.

Do I need any experience to volunteer?

You don’t need any prior experience to join us, but here are a couple of essential things we’re looking for:

Must be at least 17 years of age. We value maturity and the ability to engage responsibly with the tasks at hand.
A familiarity with the furry community is essential. You should either be a part of it or a part of similar fandoms and have a general understanding of its dynamics.
Should be physically capable to use stairs and carry items up to 10kg unassisted.
While optional, we’ll take extra consideration if you have any past experience in other conventions, events, voluntary work, professional certification, professional work, or anything that you can show that you have done to help with your application as a volunteer.

A positive attitude, willingness to help, and a strong sense of responsibility are what we cherish most. As a volunteer, not only will you be at the heart of the action, but you’ll also forge new friendships and play a pivotal role in our community. Let’s make magic happen together!

Hotel Reservation Info for IWAG 2026

Reservations for the IWAG 2026 hotel can be made through this Hotel Reservation Form, and first booking phase closes 25 March.

This year, we have reserved all the hotel rooms at the ibis Styles Serpong BSD City that are available through the convention weekend, and hence we are assured of the exact number of available rooms.

When you book through IWAG, you’ll ensure that you’ll get the best rates, and you’ll help let the hotel know that the furries are coming - and we are coming in volumes that mean business!

All rooms booked through IWAG include breakfast for 2 and thematic room keycards you can take home for free.

Pricing

Starting at just 850k IDR per night, host hotel this year has four different rooms to choose from:

Superior Room with 1 double bed: IDR 850.000/night
Superior Room with 2 single beds: IDR 850.000/night
Premium Room with 1 queen bed and sofa: IDR 1.250.000/night
Suite with 1 queen bed and sofa: IDR 1.500.000/night

All prices are per night, inclusive of breakfast, taxes and service fees.

Reservation Dates

Hotel reservations start 17 January 2026 and end 25 March 2026. We may be able to extend reservation closure to a later date, and prices may increase slightly.
You have 14 days to complete payment of your hotel room after receiving an email invoice from IWAG.

Check-In and Check-Out Dates

When you book through IWAG, you can book to check in between 1 July to 4 July, and check out between 5 July to 8 July. If you need to stay for longer periods, you should let us know on the form.

Booking Procedure

Fill in the Hotel Reservation form, accessible here.
IWAG Hospitality team will validate availability of rooms with the hotel.
Should your room be available, congratulations! You will receive an email from the IWAG team (meetops.iwag@gmail.com or emails ending with @furries.id) with official payment instructions. Please ensure you follow the payment instructions enclosed within that email within 14 calendar days of its delivery. Failure to do so may lead to your room quota being forfeited for other attendees.
Upon payment, IWAG will write back a payment confirmation email to you. This email is official payment confirmation of your booking being listed to the hotel. Bookings will then be sent in batches to the hotel.
If your selected room option is not available, the team will write back to you with alternative room arrangements, as well as any cost difference(s) if applies. You may accept or request alternative arrangements through email exchange.
When the IWAG team receives back your official ibis Styles BSD booking number and summary, we will write back to your email with a copy of your booking number and associated documents. You should keep this booking information for check in.
On check-in day, please present a Photo ID showing the same full legal name as you have written in this form. Hotel policy requires you to be at least 17 years old by the day you check in. Check in must be done by the person whose name is listed on this form.
Note that if you need to delegate check-in to someone else, please note the name on your reservation. Anyone delegated should have an event pass.

Available Payment Methods

As part of our agreement with the venue, Hotel Reservations will be done as a group booking by the IWAG hospitality team, and hence you will pay for your hotel to IWAG first. IWAG will then originate the booking with the hotel, then settle the payment for your room. As this is a manual arrangement, we do offer multiple different ways of payment, so you can choose the one most convenient for you.

Quiet and Party Floors

This year, we are piloting the separation of quieter floors versus party/noisy floors. This would allow attendees who prefer quieter nights to be grouped away from the noisier, active rooms well after hours, and ensure the party rooms are placed within floors assigned with majority IWAG-booked rooms.

You’re welcome to choose your preference in this year’s hotel reservation form. We will try our best to group rooms based on preference depending on response.

Smoking Floor

A smoking floor is available at the Ibis Styles BSD City. By default, we will prioritize the use of non-smoking rooms. Should you prefer a smoking room, please indicate so on the hotel reservation form.

Smoking in no-smoking floors will attract a fine from the hotel, billable to the attendee staying.

IWAG 2026 Event Pass Registration Starts 3 January

Event Passes for IWAG 2026 will be available starting 3 January 2026 at 19:00 Western Indonesia Time (12:00 UTC, 20:00 SG/MY, 8:00 EST, 4:00 PST) exclusively at our ticketing platform, Community. Four of our pass tiers Drifter, Modder, Cipher and Overseer will be available right off the bat at community.furries.id, so make sure you are registered ahead of time!

As for hotel rooms, just like last year - IWAG will be taking hotel reservations starting 17 January 2026 at 20:00 Western Indonesia time (13:00 UTC). We’ll have a separate blog post detailing this - including the fact we have booked out the all hotel rooms for the con, so make sure to book your rooms through us so we can guarantee 100% furry occupation!

Architect Tier (Tier 5) is Raffle-Exclusive

But this year, our most coveted top tier - Architect - will be raffle-exclusive. That means this is not an Event Pass that you’d be able to secure through Community, but you’ll only be able to get through a raffle.

If are interested to register for the Tier 5 (Architect) raffle, you must submit your IWAG 2026 Event Pass number of any tier on a separate raffle application form by yourself.

Why A Raffle? How do I join?

Our highest tier passes are historically in high demand, and would be fully booked within actual seconds. We realize that this is unfair to those with slower internet connections or those with less technical prowess to ensure they are ready to pounce. Hence, since their numbers are extremely limited, we decided it would be fairest to everyone to have a completely randomized raffle that shall be livestreamed for all to see and witness.

And how would you join this raffle? Make sure you have obtained an Event Pass for IWAG 2026 of any tier. You’ll need the Event Pass number to register in a separate raffle form. This is completely optional and you should only apply if you are interested in upgrading to Tier 5.

You’ll be able to register for our Architect tier raffle once you have secured an Event Pass of any tier. We’ll validate your entry based on the Event Pass at your possession. A link to the raffle form will be made available through our social media and website.

The raffle registration opens 4 January 2026 at 19:00 Western Indonesia Time (12:00 UTC, 20:00 SG/KL Time, 04:00 PST, 07:00 EST) and closes 7 January 2026, same time.

The raffle draw will be held live on 10 January 2026 at 19:00 UTC+7 (12:00 UTC, 20:00 SG/KL Time, 04:00 PST, 07:00 EST) on a livestream.

How will the raffle be held? If I win, how do I pay? How do I know the raffle will be fair?

You must already secure an IWAG 2026 Event Pass to participate in the raffle. All Event Pass tiers are eligible to enter the Architect tier raffle. A separate Form will be used to collect the information.

We will collect the Event Pass number of any tier in that form, so make sure you have secured one before you attempt filling the form.

The Architect raffle tier will be done in a completely analog manner, and will be livestreamed for everyone to watch and attest.

The raffle will work like this:

The IWAG team will print out all the entrants’ Event Pass numbers and cut it to individual boxes
All the numbers will be shown on-camera live before they are rolled and folded into individual tokens
The tokens will be thrown into a container filled with styrofoam balls
The container will be hand-tossed to randomize the numbers and contents.
After mixing, a number will be pulled out of the container by random, and will be read out loud and shown to the camera.
This will be done until we get 10 Event Pass numbers, the quota for our Tier 5 passes.
Afterwards, the team will pull 10 more Event Pass numbers randomly to populate our stand-by queue. These standby Event Pass numbers will be given a chance to secure their Tier 5 upgrade should anyone fail to pay their contribution fee.
Raffle winners will be emailed a payment link that will be the difference between the price of their current Event Pass to the Tier 5 Event Pass.
Payment can be done with credit and debit cards, QRIS, bank account transfer, virtual account, and cross-border QR (for SG, MY and TH attendees.)

Tier 5 raffle winners will have 24 hours from the time an email from our payment processing gateway arrives on the same address they use to sign up for Community.

If they fail to pay their contribution fee through this link, their raffle entry will be voided, and a member from the standby queue will now have a chance to attain their upgrade. This continues until 10 upgrades have been paid for, or if the standby queue is exhausted.

If the standby queue is exhausted, the IWAG team will pull 10 more standby raffle entries on a livestream and the process repeats until all 10 slots are secured.

All raffle livestreams will be saved as video on demand for later examination for auditing and transparency purposes.

Hotel Room Bookings for Tiers 4-5

After all Architect tier pass upgrades are paid for, we will email the first wave of hotel room bookings to Architect tier attendees. Then, Overseer attendees will get theirs within 24 hours. This means both tiers can leverage early access to hotel bookings - albeit in a first-come, first-serve basis among other Architect and Overseer attendees respectively.

IWAG 2026: Event Pass Reveal

Time flies! It’s been more than 3 months since we said our farewells to each other - 125 days to be exact. However, the next opportunity is coming soon!

As like our 2025 edition, IWAG offers 5 Event Pass tiers, with limited quotas on fourth the top two. Contribution Fees start at IDR 330,000 (No increase!) for the first tier, which grants you 2 days access to the event along with merchandise to take home.

Our fourth and fifth tier would now receive a special goodie pack, alongside with exciting super sponsor gifts. What are they? We assure you it will be items you’d remember the weekend with. We’ll also feature our Tier 5 sponsors in our original animated works and the big (main stage) screen!

We’re also working on something new and experimental - the “IWAG Special Experiences” for the top tier. Details are still in the works so hold your horses (or dragons or dogs or… you get the idea.)

Our third tier, Cipher, will still enjoy our Ladder Gifts! But we also heard your feedback, so we’ll try to reveal what they are ahead of time (so you might be more compelled to ugprade!) For IWAG 2026 edition, the Ladder Tier gift bumps start from 80 secured Cipher passes, 120 for the second, then 160 for its ultimate form. As usual, the more Cipher passes taken, the better or the more gifts you will receive!

We’re truly blown away by your dedication and creativity. We hope you had fun, made new friends, learned something new, and most importantly: found a place that felt like home. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without you, and this entire event was made for and by this amazing community.

Getting ready for a convention can be exciting. But packing for one can get stressful fast. With so many things to bring, it’s easy to forget something important. In this little guide, we’ll walk you through some simple tips to help you pack smarter and travel lighter for your upcoming furry convention.

1. Don’t wait until the last minute

Packing takes time, and doing it the night before (or worse, the morning of) is a recipe for forgotten essentials. Start a few days early so you have time to double-check your bags, revisit your checklist, and avoid the last-minute panic.

2. Begin with the essentials

Before anything else, pack the must-haves. These are the stuff you absolutely need for the trip, such as:

Passport or ID
Clothes (include comfy and clean ones!)
Hygiene products
Cash or cards
Medications or any health-related needs
Phone chargers and power banks

Once the basics are packed, move on to the fun furry stuff, such as:

Fursuit and accessories (undergarments, fans, brushes, tail belts, etc.)
Name badge
Stickers or business cards
Cute outfits or cosplay pieces you want to show off!

It helps to rank your items by priority. That way, if you run out of space, you can be sure all the essentials are safely packed.

3. Make a checklist

A packing list might seem basic, but it’s a lifesaver. Writing everything down reduces the chance of forgetting something important. It also helps you stay organized and prioritize. And don’t forget, you’ll want that checklist when packing up to head home, too. It’s the easiest way to make sure you leave with everything you came with.

4. Plan around your travel and lodging

What you bring should also depend on how you’re getting there and where you’re staying. If you’re flying Make sure your bags meet airline size and weight restrictions. Don’t pack anything banned in carry-ons or checked luggage. If you’re staying at a hotel, you’ll likely have towels and toiletries provided. But if you’re in a guest house or budget accommodation, bring your own essentials just in case.

5. Don’t overpack

It’s tempting to bring everything “just in case”, especially when you want to share cool stuff or look amazing every day. But overpacking will weigh you down. Bring only what you need for the number of days you’ll be there, plus a little extra. Also leave some room in your luggage! You’ll probably find goodies in the Dealers’ Den or pick up some souvenirs. Give yourself space so you’re not cramming everything in when it’s time to head home.

6. But don’t underpack either

Forgetting important stuff can ruin your con vibe fast. Not having enough clean clothes or leaving behind key items (like meds or chargers) can throw off your whole weekend. A good rule of thumb is to pack for the number of days you’ll be away, plus one backup outfit. This way, if something gets dirty or sweaty, you’ve got a clean spare ready to go.

7. Invest in good luggage and locks

A solid suitcase will serve you well, especially if you travel to multiple cons. A good one protects your belongings, including fursuits and fragile items, from bumps, bad weather, and rough handling. Strong locks also help reduce the risk of theft or tampering. It’s a small investment that gives big peace of mind.

8. Most importantly, have fun!

At the end of the day, the whole point of going to a con is to have a great time. Everything you pack should help you enjoy the event safely and comfortably. Leave anything dangerous or unnecessary at home, bring your good vibes, and get ready for an amazing time.

IWAG 2025 Hotel Reservation Update

Dearest IWAG attendees,

Due to an unexpected administrative error between us and the venue, as well as technical issues affecting the availability of rooms, the hotel has unfortunately become overbooked.

We sincerely apologize for the situation. We’ve done everything we can to secure additional rooms, including having our own staff share rooms to free up space. But despite our best efforts, we are still a few rooms short.

After careful consideration, we are offering two options for those affected:

A full refund of your hotel reservation; or
A relocation to a nearby hotel, at no additional cost, with complimentary shuttle service provided twice daily.

To ensure fairness, we will be determining the affected reservations based on the most recent booking dates. If your reservation is impacted, you will have received a separate email and WhatsApp or Telegram message from us with further details.

Our hotel this year comes with all the creature comforts you’d look for as a break from the wilderness of nature - and other attendees. As a relatively new hotel, you can expect clean upkeep and modern amenities that keeps you comfortable.

Hotel Facilities

All rooms are equipped with an ensuite shower, hair dryer, safe, air conditioner, blackout windows, free bottled water, kettle, hot beverage kits, and a mini fridge with a mini bar. Wifi is provided free of charge for all hotel guests. A smart TV is available in each room that you can stream your favorite shows into, or plug in using an HDMI cable. Do keep in mind that the power outlets are Euro standard plugs only, so bring along an adapter if required.

When you book through IWAG, you will get free breakfast for two guests per night, per room! Our in-house restaurant, STREATS, acts both as the breakfast buffet, and an all-day dining option to keep you fueled through the day. Room service is also available around the clock.

All guests receive complimentary access to the hotel’s gym, outdoor infinity pool and wading pool, so you can catch a break while dipping your toes or sweating off some weight!

Hotel Check-in is at 14:00 local time, and Check-out is at 12:00 local time. Requests for Late Check-out may only be done at the Front Desk during Check-in.

Booking Procedure

IWAG Hospitality team will validate availability of rooms with the hotel.
Should your room be available, congratulations! You will receive an email from the IWAG Hospitality team (ending with @furries.id) with official payment instructions. Please ensure you follow the payment instructions enclosed within that email within 30 calendar days of its delivery. Failure to do so may lead to your room quota being forfeited for other attendees.
Upon payment, IWAG Hospitality team will write back a payment confirmation email to you. This email is official payment confirmation of your booking being listed to the hotel. Bookings will then be sent in batches to the hotel.
If your selected room option is not available, the team will write back to you with alternative room arrangements, as well as any cost difference(s) if applies. You may accept or request alternative arrangements through email exchange.
When the IWAG team receives back your official ibis Styles BSD booking number and summary, we will write back to your email with a copy of your booking number and associated documents. You should keep this booking information for check in.
On check-in day, please present a Photo ID showing the same full legal name as you have written in this form. Hotel policy requires you to be at least 17 years old by the day you check in. Check in must be done by the person whose name is listed on this form.

Key Details:

The raffle is open to attendees who who have pay for any of our lower tiers: Settler, Scout, or Pathfindeer.

IWAG 2025 Registration Day 1: Behind the Scenes

Hello!

We want to start by thanking you for your patience and support during the bumpy event pass sales opening on the night of January 4th, 2025. Now that everything is back on track and the Community website is running smoothly, we’d like to share a behind-the-scenes look at what happened and how we resolved it.

In this post, we’ll walk you through the steps we took to identify, fix, and stabilize the issues we faced. While we’ll touch on some technical details, we’ll do our best to make everything easy to understand. Let’s dive in!

What Happened?

To explain what went wrong, we first need to give you a quick overview of how the Community website works. There are four key parts involved:

Frontend (FE): This is the part of the website you interact with, where you buy IWAG event passes and manage your details.
Backend (BE): This handles all the behind-the-scenes work, such as processing your payments and ensuring payments go through smoothly.
Single Sign-On (SSO): This service manages your account, including registering, logging in, and updating your profile.
Database (DB): This stores all the essential information, like your profile, transaction history, and event pass details.

When you use the website (like clicking the “Register Now” button), your request goes through a system called a Load Balancer (LB). Think of it as a traffic light that manages the flow of cars (your requests) to avoid jams. The Load Balancer directs requests to different servers so that no single server gets overwhelmed. This keeps everything running smoothly, even when there’s a lot of traffic.

Minute by Minute

Now that you have some context, let’s walk you through the events of that night, step by step:

19:45 (UTC+7): The tech team set up a “War Room” to monitor the Event Pass registration process. Members joined in person and remotely to keep a close eye on the servers.
20:00 (UTC+7): Users and staff began noticing issues: the website slowed significantly, showing “Internal Server Error (500)” and “Bad Gateway (502)” messages. It became almost impossible to load the checkout pages and pay for Event Passes.
20:20 (UTC+7): We identified the first major issue: database locking. The database was handling transactions one at a time in an overly strict mode, causing delays. A quick fix was applied to relax these rules.
20:35 (UTC+7): Despite the database fix, the 500 and 502 errors continued. Assuming heavy traffic was to blame, we scaled up both the frontend (FE) and backend (BE) services to handle more users. At this point, we decided to delay the Event Pass sales to 21:00 (UTC+7) to stabilize the system.
20:50 (UTC+7): With extra server power, the system seemed more stable, though the Load Balancer (LB) was still struggling. We prepared for the next sales window.
21:00-21:40 (UTC+7): As sales reopened, the 500 and 502 errors returned. The team scaled up the FE and BE services again while analyzing logs for deeper issues. The sales window was delayed twice, first to 21:30 (UTC+7) and then to 22:00 (UTC+7).
21:55 (UTC+7): The errors reappeared as traffic increased. This time, we decided to keep the registration open to collect more logs, which would help pinpoint the problem.
22:30 (UTC+7): A spike in requests to the single sign-on (SSO) service was identified. The system was being overwhelmed by repeated requests for “refresh tokens” (used to keep users logged in). We considered bypassing this process temporarily but instead chose to scale up the SSO provider to handle the load.
23:30 (UTC+7): Even after scaling up the SSO provider, the issue persisted. We concluded that the problem wasn’t just capacity but also how requests were being routed. The team decided to split the Load Balancer (LB) into two: one for BE instances and another for the SSO provider.
23:45 (UTC+7): Work began to separate the Load Balancer.
00:10 (UTC+7): The separation was complete. As a precaution, we logged out all users via the SSO provider’s admin panel to reduce further strain.
00:20 (UTC+7): After monitoring the system for 10 minutes, the errors stopped. All services were stable and back to normal.

What We Did to Fix It

Here are the key measures we took to resolve the issues:

Database Fixes: The transactions were made stricter after the incident of IWAG 2024, where Pearl passes were oversold, in hopes to prevent the possibility of duplicate transactions on other events. We adjusted transaction handling to be less strict to prevent the database from locking up.
Scaling Up Services:
- Increased the capacity of FE and BE instances to handle high demand.
- Boosted the SSO provider’s capacity to manage the surge in login-related requests.
Load Balancer Adjustments: Separated the Load Balancer for BE and SSO services to manage traffic more efficiently.
Session Management: Logged out all users as a safety measure to ease the load on the SSO service.

After the changes made to the Load Balancer, our architecture changed slightly. Our simplified architecture diagram now looks like this:

How Logging In Works

To understand what went wrong, let’s take a brief look at how authentication (signing in and out) works.

Our single sign-on (SSO) provider uses OAuth 2.0, a widely-used standard for authenticating users. If you’ve ever clicked “Sign in with Google” on a website, you’ve used OAuth 2.0! It ensures users can log in securely without needing to re-enter credentials for every service.

Here’s a simplified explanation of how it works when you log into the Community website:

You enter your credentials (like your email and password) on the login page.
- The Frontend (FE) sends these credentials to the SSO Provider.
The SSO Provider verifies your credentials and sends back two important tokens:
- Access Token: Used to prove you’re logged in for specific actions (e.g., registering for an Event Pass).
- Refresh Token: Used to get a new Access Token without needing to log in again.

These tokens are really just a bunch of random numbers and character generated by the machines. With these tokens, you’re officially logged in and can perform actions on the website.

Access Tokens expire after some time for security reasons. Here’s how the system keeps your session active without asking you to log in again:

When the Access Token expires, the FE sends the Refresh Token to the SSO Provider to request a new Access Token.
The SSO Provider sends back both a new Access Token and a new Refresh Token.
This process happens in the background, so you remain logged in seamlessly.

What Went Wrong

The issues stemmed from the Refresh Token flow, which is designed to keep users logged in. Here’s what went wrong:

SSO Overload:
- The SSO server was overwhelmed by a sudden surge in requests, primarily from users loading and refreshing the Event and checkout pages.
- It couldn’t handle all the requests and stopped responding properly.
Automatic Retrying:
- When the FE didn’t receive a response from the SSO, it retried the request automatically.
- This created a vicious cycle where failed requests kept adding more load to the already struggling SSO.
Token Invalidation:
- The SSO Provider started invalidating Refresh Tokens prematurely, which added another layer of issues.
- The FE unknowingly sent invalid Refresh Tokens in its retries, worsening the loop.

What We Learned

Here are the key takeaways to prevent such issues in the future:

Prioritize Scalability: Scaling up our systems were done manually, which can be overwhelming on a platform with highly-variable demand like Community. Investing in better infrastructure could help with easier scaling.
Improve Load Testing: While we have done some form of load testing before important events, there are parts where our load testing process could be improved to better replicate actual page load.
Longer-Lived Tokens: The access tokens were short-lived due to the immediate nature of our transactions. In our case, a little more leeway to when sessions expire will help reduce the load on our SSO provider.
Isolate High-Demand Services: Decoupling the Load Balancer for BE and SSO services ensured they didn’t compete for resources under high load, preventing cascading issues should one critical service fail.
Enhance Logging and Monitoring: We managed to catch our issues through request logs. Opening up access to our logging and monitoring tools to the rest of the tech team could help in early issue detection.

As we are wrapping up with the investigation and resolution from our systems, we want to instill the highest confidence on our attendees. We wanted to ensure that the system would be able to handle crush loads again in a controlled manner.

This is why we have decided to postpone the Pioneer and Guardian event passes to 11 January 2025, and in two batches, so we can monitor the behavior and ensure nothing else happens.

Going forward, our registration team will evaluate how best to release our coveted higher tier passes, in conjunction with the availability of our system.

IWAG 2025 Registration Update

Additional Settler, Scout, and Pathfinder Passes We will release more Tier 1-3 slots (150 total) today, 5 January 2025 at 18:00 WIB (11:00 UTC).
Guardian and Pioneer Sponsor Passes Registration opens on 11 January 2025 at 20:00 WIB (13:00 UTC) and again on 12 January 2025 at 08:00 WIB (01:00 UTC). This dual release is to provide two opportunities for prospective sponsors.
If Tiers 1-3 are exhausted by Saturday, 11 January 2025, 90 additional slots for Tier 1-3 will be released alongside Tiers 4-5.

Don’t worry about your accommodation! We will release the hotel room booking form on Sunday, 12 January 2025 at 20:00 WIB (13:00 UTC). Rooms start from 810K IDR, including breakfast for two.

IWAG 2025 Registration Opening

In just a week, IWAG 2025 registration will open for everyone! While we prepare to open the floodgates and invite you to wander into the wild, we know you might have some questions and clarifications about registration.

But first, lets highlight the most important part. Registration is split into two sessions:

Settler, Scout, and Pathfinder Badges (Tiers 1-3): January 4, 2025 at 20:00 UTC+7 (13:00 UTC)
Pioneer and Guardian Badges (Tiers 4-5): January 5, 2025 at 20:00 UTC+7 (13:00 UTC)

The furs behind Community, along with our number-crunchers and risk-calculators, have learned from the IWAG 2024 Event Pass experience. This year, weve decided to launch with higher-quota to ensure any system hiccups can be smoothed out without sacrificing anyones ability to snag their badge.

We also understand that higher-tier passes are exceptionally in-demand. To address this, were providing a dedicated registration time for our esteemed sponsors-to-be so the system can better handle the load.

Weve prepared a comprehensive Registration FAQ to answer all your questions. Heres a quick summary of the most important points to help you be ready:

Log in or sign up for Community before registration opens.
Event Pass payments are nonrefundable but can be transferred to someone else.
You can upgrade your Event Pass to a higher tier later (only to tier 2 or 3).
International credit and debit cards will be accepted from day one (HOORAY!).
If you plan to pay via QRIS/cross-border QR, use a laptop or tablet device to scan the QR code easily.
- Note: Our payment provider still doesnt support QR code display on mobile browsers.
Attendees aged 14 to 16 must bring a signed Parental Waiver Form to attend alone. Additional conditions for younger attendees are detailed in the FAQ.
